Meet our Conscious Pathways Team

Clare Durepos, MA, LMFT

Hi, I’m Clare!

I’m a licensed therapist who helps couples and individuals slow down, understand their inner dynamics more deeply, and move through life with more awareness, intention, and soul.

Are you part of a couple beginning to recognize that old strategies no longer fit? Do you find yourselves “gridlocked” in painful, repetitive patterns that leave you both feeling misunderstood and discouraged?

Or are you an individual who is highly capable—perhaps even exceptional—in your professional life, yet you feel less “at home” in the realms of intimacy and emotional expression?

I can show you the way back to yourself and each other. Come walk with me. I’ll help you slow those patterns down, make sense of the “why” underneath the conflict, and begin relating in ways that feel genuine and alive.

I’ll be a good fit for you if you are a deep thinker! Ready to be brave! Ready to look honestly at the patterns you want to change. I work best with clients who are sincere but a little irreverent—people who are willing to look at pain without losing their humanity in the process.

How I work:

I bring a blend of grounded depth and lightness to our “sticky” emotional moments together. With me, you will learn to navigate the complexity of being human with curiosity, nuance, and a bit of playfulness.

Clients describe me as attuned, insightful, and genuine. I have a deep capacity to stay present with you through intense emotional material—fear, grief, or the tension between autonomy and closeness—without flinching.

I use both top-down and bottom-up approaches, a core part of Conscious Pathways values.

Top down: skill building, structures for conversations, best communication practices, understanding, insight, using our words, psychoeducation.

Bottom up: emotional regulation, sensations in the body, attunement to yourself and your partners nervous systems, unconscious patterns

For my work with couples:
I’m helpful to couples looking to understand contrasting temperaments and communication styles with more compassion. Especially if you identify as neurodivergent and need support exploring how that is showing up in your relationship dynamics.

I will help you deepen into the more difficult spaces too, slowing down to hold the very human hurt and shame underneath our quick or unconscious defenses. I’ll help you unlock the patterns you are stuck in.

For my work with individuals:
I draw from depth-oriented and relational approaches. We’ll look at attachment patterns and how your family history echoes across generations, helping you find a grounded sense of yourself in relationship to others.

Why Conscious Pathways

I chose to practice here because we treat the whole person, not just the problem. At Conscious Pathways, we believe that your relationship is one of the most emotionally intense spaces in your life. The health of your relationship determines the health of your whole life.

We don’t just talk about change; we practice it in the room. You deserve a visceral experience of practicing a new skill or the moment you interrupt an old pattern. Where your mind, heart, and body finally align into an integrated truth and authentic connective moment with your partner.

I value a space where depth and playfulness are companions, and where every part of your story, no matter how messy, is welcome. Laughter is certainly one of our best medicines at Conscious Pathways, the anecdotal resonance to the trauma you’ve experienced.

Kate has created, not just an office, but a sacred space for deep feelers, brilliant thinkers, neurodiverse brains, queer folx, and consciousness seekers. I knew my nervous system and yours would feel at home at CP.

Why Work with Me

I can teach you how to navigate the interplay between practical strategy and deep emotional process. We’ll build your toolbox for communication, but we’ll also slow down enough to understand the unexamined patterns that make those tools hard to use in the heat of the moment.

My goal is to help you build insight and regulation so that you can live and relate more intentionally. We will practice in session to see what it actually feels like to make a dynamic change in your communication.

How I Got Here

My path to becoming a therapist was a process of deep discernment. I spent years exploring different worlds…from art history and sustainability to business and design… but none felt as values-aligned as this. Around the time I turned 30, I gave myself a “sabbatical” to travel and engage in my own healing journey through trauma-informed yoga and meditation. That experience changed me.

I also trace this calling to my paternal grandmother. Some of my favorite memories are of drinking coffee with her on her porch in New Mexico, talking about dreams, archetypes, and the human psyche. She taught me to value the “quiet ways” people come to understand themselves.

I trained at CU Denver in Couple and Family Therapy, a program rooted in relational learning and cultural humility. My experience ranges from high-acuity inpatient care at the Eating Recovery Center to person-centered, depth-oriented work at People House. These “different worlds” shaped me into a therapist who values both clinical rigor and the beauty of the human spirit.

I come to this field consciously as a second career and it would be an honor to walk with you on your healing journey.

Why work with me

All the therapists at Conscious Pathways are expertly trained. What I bring is a unique blend of technical-minded problem solving and deep creativity. I grew up in a family of both engineers and artists; teaching me how to hold a systemic macro understanding along with the beauty and mess that comes with love and art.

I’m not a “neutral observer”- I’m a human being in the room with you. I’ve made significant pivots in my own life and career, and I bring that tenacity and willingness to evolve into our work.

My strengths as a therapist include:
Holding Depth and Lightness: I use humor as a tool for perspective, even when the work is serious.

Neurodivergent & Queer Affirming: I have a deep resonance with those who feel a thread of “otherness” or move through the world differently.

Direct & Attuned: I’m not afraid to engage directly with difficult dynamics to reduce harm, while holding both people in the room with genuine care.

More about me:

Outside of work, I’m nourished by a mix of simplicity, connection, and sensory pleasure. I love reading in my hammock, taking long walks, and having good walk-and-talks with close friends, especially fellow therapists in my Denver community. I also deeply value staying connected with dear friends who live in other parts of the country.

Rest and self-care, for me, often look refreshingly unglamorous: sleep, quiet, Epsom salt baths, and practices that help me come back to myself.

I’m drawn to embodied, free-form movement, meditation, and other grounding rituals that create a little more spaciousness in daily life.

I also try to nourish myself through beauty, pleasure, and enjoyment- discovering new music, eating delicious food, being outside, and making room for moments that feel restorative and alive. I’m also never mad about a really good wood-fired pizza.

My hope is that when you sit with me, you feel safe to be your full, unconventional, and authentic self.

Whether you are navigating a gridlocked relationship or longing for a more grounded sense of yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you at Conscious Pathways.

My hourly fee is $150 for couples and individuals.

Schedule a complimentary 20 minute consultation with me today to continue to get to know me and see if we’d be the right fit for working together!

I hope to be a meaningful part of your healing journey.
