Meet our Conscious Pathways Team

Jennifer Baehler, LMFT

Hi, I’m Jennifer! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps individuals and couples heal attachment wounds, rebuild trust, and restore healthy connection.

Are you feeling stuck in cycles of conflict, emotional distance, or rupture?
Do you want a deeper connection but don’t know how to get there without losing yourself?

I can help you. I’ll walk with you on this journey towards healing and fuller love.

I work best with clients who are open, curious, and willing to take emotional risks. You don’t have to be perfect- you just need to be willing to learn to feel, reflect on yourself, and try something new.

Together, we’ll slow things down, understand how your attachment history shaped you, and co-create new experiences of safety, vulnerability, and connection.

Contact me directly through this web form, or feel free to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation using the “Schedule a Consultation” button.

How I work:

I believe therapy is healing- not fixing or curing. Healing is about restoring balance, safety, and connection, both within yourself and in your relationships

I’m deeply attachment-focused and trauma-informed. I bring a grounded, genuine, curious, and emotionally present style into the room. I’m not afraid of your big emotions or hard conversations.

Fear, grief, anger, shame, longing- none of it is too much here.

Clients often describe me as real, warm, and deeply attuned. I have a strong capacity to hold intense emotional experiences and help you stay present with them.

As a couples expert, I’m especially skilled at tracking patterns in relationships and helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, particularly in moments of conflict or betrayal.

I draw from EMDR (including attachment-focused EMDR), somatic therapies, mindfulness, systemic work, and experiential approaches. These modalities allow us not just to talk about emotions, but to feel them in the body, move them through, and create new relational experiences and meanings in real time.

At Conscious Pathways, we welcome the full spectrum of emotion. Nothing is too big or too messy. Healing happens when every part of you- mind, heart, body- gets to be in the room.

How I got here:

My interest in becoming a therapist began in college, during my own experience as a therapy client. Sitting in that space and feeling truly supported and understood was life-changing. I remember thinking, everyone deserves to feel this.

My path was also shaped by my own experiences with trauma and healing. I wanted to understand how people heal, not just intellectually, but emotionally and somatically. That curiosity, and my genuine desire to help others, led me here.

I earned dual undergraduate degrees in Addictions Studies and Psychology from the University of South Dakota and completed my graduate training at Capella University in Minnesota. As an LMFT, I specialized in relationship therapy right from the start of my masters program.

You can trust that I have more mentorship and experience in couples therapy and relationship dynamics than the average therapist ever gets!

I’m also trained in EMDR- a powerful, effective protocol for trauma healing. I’d love to work with you individually on relationship issues, old attachment wounds, or other painful experiences that may be affecting your capacity to love well and easily.

Why Conscious Pathways:

I chose to practice at Conscious Pathways because its mission aligns with my approach to healing: holistic, nervous-system focused, safety-building, relational healing.

Relationships are some of the most emotionally intense spaces in our lives. At CP, all our work is done with nervous-system awareness, honoring both the loving, connected moments and the triggering, painful ones.

We don’t just teach skills- we practice them together so you can feel what change actually feels like in your body and in your relationships.

My job is to build up your toolbox for safe connection and work myself out of the job! I don’t want you in therapy forever! I want to walk with you, empower you with the tools you need, and integrate it into your daily life.

Conscious Pathways treats the whole person, not just a problem. The experiential, whole-body approach the founder Kate brings to this practice- plus CP’s commitment to cutting-edge healing, including psychedelic-assisted work when appropriate- made it clear this was the place I wanted to work and grow.

Why work with me:

All therapists at Conscious Pathways are skilled and deeply committed. What I bring is a unique combination of attachment theory expertise, lived experience, and emotional resilience.

I’m the daughter of a first-generation immigrant mother, and I speak multiple languages. I understand what it means to navigate different worlds, cultures, and expectations.

I was also a single mom for many years, living paycheck to paycheck and building a life through determination, grit, and persistence. I know what it means to survive—and to rebuild.

I’ve also done my own deep relational healing, including my own couples therapy and trust work. Because of that journey, I deeply understand how destabilizing and painful love can be, and I also know what it takes to move through that pain and arrive at a steadier, more connected kind of love. I believe that meaningful healing and repair can be done when it’s done with honesty, safety, and support.

My strengths as a therapist include:

  • Deep attachment intuition
  • Somatic and nervous-system awareness
  • Warm, direct honesty
  • Curiosity and creativity
  • The ability to hold intense emotional material without flinching

I’m genuine, present, and not afraid to show up fully human. And I believe deeply in YOUR capacity to heal, grow, and create relationships that feel secure and alive!

More about me:

Outside of work, I love trying new foods and restaurants, traveling, and having new experiences and staying active. I enjoy board games, card games, movement, and long conversations with friends. I love action movies and -yes of course- some trash TV, especially when there are couples to psychoanalyze!

I love conferences and training because I will always be a life-long learner. I’ll always bring new, cutting edge techniques and theory into our work together.

I recharge through meditation, movement, yoga, and naps with my two pups, DIY home projects, and doing thoughtful things for others. Curiosity fuels me- in life and in this work.

My hope is that when you sit with me, you feel safe, supported, and empowered to be your full self.

Whether you’re navigating attachment wounds, betrayal, or simply longing for deeper connection, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Schedule a complimentary 20 minute consultation with me today to continue to get to know me and see if we’d be the right fit for working together!
